2018

2018 is an EP inspired by sketches I recorded in 2018 in Belgium. This month's EP challenge was the opposite of last month's: Instead of purely acoustic recordings I went for fully-electronic. Only samples, loops, VSTis, built-in instruments, not a single second of anything recorded on my microphone. It ended up being a bit synth-waveish with a touch of NIN; after having watched NIN and Perturbator play live at Graspop I might have been a tad inspired to do something a bit eerie, dark and intense, but following the melodies/harmonies of the sketches I recorded back in 2018. A bit different from my normal work, but that's the challenge: Working with constraints. Enjoy!
